Software updates

So true. The developers never care about what the user wants. They
just desire to add useless stuff so they can jack up the price and
sell it for more. That's how they get paid ... piecework, sort of
.... so much money per useless unwanted bell or whistle. The big
companies spend huge amounts of money flying in users in from all
over the world for customer feedback workshops, and solicit wishlists
from users so they can squash all good ideas, and then they devote
months and months after that on alpha and beta testing just to make
absolutely sure there is nothing left in the application that anybody
wants.
